Illustrious guests from Literary field, social workers and film industry graced the occasion
Mumbai: The release function of R.K. Publications, the publishers of writer, poet, senior journalist, lyricist Sanjay ‘Amaan’s’ second poetry book “Lamp Post” was held recently at Eden Hall, RahejaClassique Club, Link Road, Andheri (West) with grand fanfare in presence of many renowned personalities from literary field, film industry, social workers and other celebrities.
The book release was helmed by respected guests like Nandlal Pathak (Executive of Maharashtra State Sahitya Academy), Chief Guest Dr. AneelMurarka (Industrialist, socialist and philanthropist), Special Guest Dr. Vinod Tibrewala (Chairperson of Shri JagdishprasadJhabarmalTibrewala University and Trustee & President of Shri RajasthaniSevaSangh’s institution), Chirag Gupta (Socialist and Vice President of BJP’s Uttar BharatiyaMorcha), AbhilashAwathi (well-known author & journalist), Prof. KarunashankarUpadhyay (HOD Hindi Department, Mumbai University), Kamini Khanna (sister of actor Govinda and mother of actress Ragini Khan, singer, writer and founder of ‘Beauty with Astrology’ fame), Ajay Dixit (film actor), Sunil Pal (stand-up comedian, actor and filmmaker), Khanna Muzaffarpuri (well-known poet), NawabArzoo (poet and famous film and television lyricist, screenplay and dialogue writer), HastimalHasti (famous ghazal singer), ChandrashekharPusalkar (grandson of DadasahebPhalke), RJ Prem Kumar (actor and anchor) and others.
Poet Devmani Pandey who anchored the event also rendered wonderful poems and shaayaris with ObaidAzamAzmi (well-known Urdu poet), Naveen Chaturvedi, lyricist Madan Pal and AsadAjmeri, NawabArzoo, HastimalHasti, Kamini Khanna, AbhilashAwasthi and others delivering beautiful poetic verses for the gathering and taking center stage.
Veteran senior journalist Rajesh Vikran, the programme’s convener read out few interesting poems from Sanjay Amaan’s book “Lamp Post”. RJ Prem Kumar shared some wonderful moments of Sanjay ‘Amaan’ journey from journalism to writing poems and highlighted the book too.
The event also saw the single music album release written by Sanjay ‘Amaan’ himself and dedicated to DadasahebPhalke – ‘Father of Indian Cinema’. It was an emotional and memorable moment for ChandrashekharPusalkar, the grandson of DadashebPhalke.
The launch of the event began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the renowned and honourable guests and chanting of vedic mantras by 5 pandits making it a grand evening.
